Gene as (most everyone knew him) was born April 16, 1969, in Dallas, TX to LaValle Hines and Henry Honeycutt. He was raised in the home of his mother LaValle and her husband Ed “Junior” Schwab. He spent many days with his brother Michael and nephew Raymond at Rylie Daycare and his sister Debbie’s home. Debbie was his caretaker for most of his life as he dealt with Type 1 Diabetes since he was a small child. He dealt with this serious illness as well as possible, being insulin dependent for virtually all his life. He was a son, brother, father, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend. He filled many roles in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Gene spent most of his life in the Seagoville, TX area. He was born in Dallas, TX, and attended school in Dallas and Seagoville. He worked in sales and as a tradesman across many disciplines. He was an electrician, AC tech, carpenter, and a “decent mechanic” to use his words. He worked with different companies but always with family or friends.
Marrying at a young age Gene became a father to Elizabeth. He was always proud of her accomplishments and wanted nothing more than to be a part of her life.
His health limited many of the activities he enjoyed. His health landed him in hospitals many times over his life. He seemed to always pull out of it and return to living life. He was known as a loyal friend who would stick by your side.
Left to celebrate Gene’s life are his daughter Elizabeth Honeycutt; Sister Debbie Williams; Brothers Randy Stocks, John and wife Glenda Stocks; his nephews, Raymond Williams Jr and wife Damaris and John Landon Stocks; His nieces, Tammy Williams Arnn and husband Chris, Nicole Stocks McKechnie and husband Josh, and Carli Williams; Great-nephews, Keven Williams, Bryan Williams, Michael Arnn, and Judah McKechnie; his great-nieces, Teagan McKechnie and Aleah Williams, plus a host of family and friends who will remember his smile and energy.
Gene was preceded in death by his father Henry Honeycutt, Mother LaValle Schwab and step-father Junior Schwab. His brother Michael Wayne Honeycutt, nephew John Andrew Stocks, and his grandparents Arthur and Willie Mae Hines.
