Sharon Diann Humphrey Foster passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the age of 74 with family by her side after a long battle of Dementia disease. Sharon was born May 6, 1948, to Okel and Frances Humphrey in Athens, Texas.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Okel and Frances Humphrey, her loving husband Bevelyn “Bugs” Foster of 55 years, sister Yvonne Moore, brother James Humphrey and sister-in-law Linda Humphrey.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Tonya Mathis and husband Kenneth of Grays Prairie, Texas; grandson, Coy Mathis and wife Barbi of Combine, Texas; grandson, Collin Mathis and wife Scout of Athens, Texas; great grandsons, Isaic Cortez and Conway Mathis of Combine, Texas; sisters-in-law, Ileen Smith of Cross Plains, Texas, Mamie Webb and husband George of Abilene, Texas, Martha Leveritt of Lake Brownwood, Texas, Vicki Cobb and husband Russell of Temple, Texas, and many extended family and friends.
Sharon grew up in Mesquite, Texas. She loved the Lord. She was raised and worshipped in the Assembly of God Church. She married the love of her life, “Bugs” Foster in January 21, 1966. Together they had one daughter, Tonya, who was the center of their lives. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing with Bugs and her grandsons, Coy and Collin, shopping and fun times with her daughter, Tonya and her sister, Yvonne. Some of her hobbies were oil painting, cooking for her family, and planting flowers. She was a wonderful Wife, Mom, and Nannie. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered and she will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held Wednesday May 25, 2022 from 5-9pm at Roselawn Funeral Home
The Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Foster will be held Friday May 27, 2022 at 10:30 at the Atwell Cemetery, in the Atwell community of Cross Plains, Texas
