Louise was Nanny/Mimi to 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Louise was known as Nanny to many friends including her neighborhood in which she spent many years. Louise enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, watching Westerns on TV and soap operas. In addition to her hobbies, Louise was the Matriarch of the Cantrell family who loved cooking big Holiday meals for her family and extended family. Many of Louise recipes were one of a kind and cannot be duplicated, she was well known for her special cornbread dressing and more importantly for her beautiful heart which she gave freely to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Louise was very involved with her grandchildren and devoted to her sweet cat Cleo. Nanny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The Watcher by Margaret Widdemer She always leaned to watch for us, Anxious if we were late, In winter by the window, In summer by the gate; And though we mocked her tenderly, Who had such foolish care, The long way home would seem more safe Because she waited there. Her thoughts were all so full of us, She never could forget! And so I think that where she is She must be watching yet, Waiting till we come home to her, Anxious if we are late— Watching from Heaven's window, Leaning from Heaven's gate.
