Johnny Ray Kovar Born April 21, 1951 in Dallas, Texas and went home to meet his Lord and Savior on May 23 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 63. Preceded in death by his father Johnny Edwin Kovar, uncle Jerry John Kovar and his in-laws Sissie and Tony LiVigni, and Aunt Treva Krumnow. Survived by his loving and faithful wife of 39 years, Sue Kovar, son Johnny “J.R.” Kovar and fiancée Jaime, son Joshua Kovar, 1 grandson Seth Kovar, mother Juanita Taylor, sister Shirley Nelson, brother Jerry Kovar and wife Marilyn, niece Melaynee Kovar, brothers-in law Mark LiVigni and Michael LiVigni, sister-in-law, Laura Beauchamp, and Uncle Bud Krumnow, and many other family members and friends. Johnny retired from the City of Dallas Water Department after 33 years of dedicated service. He always enjoyed going fishing with his grandson Seth and spending time with his beloved family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend but most importantly he was a believer in Jesus Christ and that’s why the family has full assurance he is now in Heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Family will receive friends from 5 PM-8 PM on Monday, May 26th at Roselawn Funeral Home. Johnny's Celebration of Life will be at 2 PM on May 27th at Roselawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Dossett officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest in the garden of Scriptures. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
