She was born October 14, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to William Cecil and Gertrude Barnes. Later in life, she married Donnie Roberts and the couple had two children. They stayed together for 54 years until Donnie passed, and now they will be together once again. For most of her life, she was a housewife and a beautician, and loved spending time with her family.
Jeanette will always be remembered as someone who was always joking and kidding around, and a sassy, confident woman who was full of life. She was spontaneous and independent, yet always loving, caring, and compassionate. Whenever her family needed good advice, they always knew they could count on her.
She had many hobbies, including traveling, making jewelry, dancing, singing, playing board games with family and friends, doing hair, makeup, and mani-pedis, shopping, and playing piano (which she could play by ear!). She was also a great bowler, and won the Big 4 Split award. Jeanette was also a woman of faith, and she enjoyed going to Church.
For Jeanette, family came first. With her daughter, she enjoyed shopping, going to dinner, and watching movies. She loved watching her son and granddaughter at drag races, and everyone at his racing shop called her "Mom," too. She would cheer on her granddaughter at volleyball games, as well as her granddaughters on the drill team, who she also liked to sing karaoke with. She loved to watch her great-grandson's basketball games, and enjoyed seeing the beautiful art he creates. It was a pleasure for her to be able to watch her great-grandson grow up, and she loved to play Hot Wheels with him.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Kimberly Roberts and Vincent Roberts (Korran); her grandchildren, Sheena Hickey, Miranda Spencer, and Makenzie Roberts; and her great grandchildren, Dylon Harris and Jameson Banks.
