Emma C. Stonebarger

Emma Christine Stonebarger was born in Learned, Mississippi on August 12, 1929 to Joseph and Clara Bell Mattis. She went home to the Lord on May 6, 2017. She was met in Heaven with open arms by her parents; her children, Judy Sims and Brad Brown; her siblings, Thomas Mattis, Joe Mattis and JoAnne Barlow. Left with cherished memories are her son Rusty Brown and wife Gay of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; sister Jewel Eady & husband James of Terry, Mississippi; grandchildren Joseph Wilkinson of Waxahachie, Texas; Matt Brown & wife Melissa of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Megan Brown of Denver, Colorado; Courtney Lepard and husband Chad of Kosciusko, Mississippi; Shawn Sims & wife Andrea of Wills Point, Texas; great grandchildren Kevyn, Angel, Elic, Gracie, Abigail, Alana, Kaiver, Brycen, Haylee and Skylar. Chris attended schools in Raymond, Mississippi. She loved her family and all animals. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and sewing. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 9-10 am Thursday May 11, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas where Chris will be laid to rest in the Garden of Roses.
