David was born on December 24, 1940 in Quincey, Mississippi to parents William T. and Mary Gray. Including himself, he had 10 siblings (6 brothers, 4 sisters). He joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and received an Honorable Discharge as an Air Force Pilot Assistant. Proudly, Dave was a Master Mason in good standing of Kaufman No.726 Scurry, TX until his passing. He spent over 15 years in the transportation business as a truck driver for Whitfield Transportation. Following a long driving career, he was self employed, owning his own security company, restaurant, and barber shop.
In addition to his parents, William T. and Mary Gray, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Left behind to treasure all his memories are his daughters, Ann Gray Bruce (Terry), Debra Lynn Butz, Donna "Jody" Brunson (Gordon), and David Earl Gray Jr.
Those who were close to Dave knew he had a very loveable side an ornery side and they quickly fell in love with both. He will be deeply missed by so many.
