David was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 8, 1941 to Leonard Earl and Clora "Cokey" Faircloth. His father Leonard worked for the highway system and the family moved all over the state of Texas.
David fell in love with Bobbie Hair and they married soon after he turned 18 in 1958. The two settled in Dallas, Texas and began their family shortly after. He worked as a carpenter for a short time before going into the grocery business, where he would eventually become a Warehouse Supervisor until his retirement. After his retirement, he began delivering medications to hospice patients. Though he lost his beloved wife in 2000, he got a second chance at love when he met Marilyn Fisher. He and Marilyn were married in 2002 until his passing.
When not working, David Earl enjoyed going fishing, playing Poker, and playing his scratch-off lottery tickets. He and Bobbie enjoyed dancing, and he was always eager to try new things!
David is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children, Ricky Browning and wife Barbara, Judy Lewis and husband Mark; step children, Stephanie Stagg and husband Kevin, and Theresa Harris; his grandchildren, Bree, Ty, Rikki, Cole, Kassi, Katie, and Marci; 5 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and loving friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Clora Browning; his first wife, Bobbie Hair Browning; his son, John Darren Browning; his great-grandson, Cody G. Corral, and all seven of his siblings.
‘Gran’ will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
