William "Bill" Warren Wagner, 82 of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on August 17, 2012. Bill was born August 17, 1930 in Chicago, IL son of William and Florence Wagner. Raised by his aunt Harriet whom he called Mother. Moved down state in 1938. A graduate of Jacksonville High School. Went to Gem City Business College in Quince, IL. Served 2 yrs. In Korea '52 - '54. Graduated from Southern Illinois Vocational Tech. school in '56. Married Phyllis Louise Keefer in Aug. of '55. Went to Chicago and worked for Motorola with goal of moving to Phoenix. He had fallen in love with the area in '52 on his way to Korea. In 1960 moved to Arizona where he worked as an Engineer Assistant for 32 yrs. After retiring in Dec. of '91 Bill and his wife traveled extensively to all 50 states and 18 countries. He lost his vision to Macular Degeneration in '98 but still took two more trips to Europe. Bill is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughters Sharon Rose, Carolyn Weinland, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
