Thomas B. Nixon, a retired Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal and Vietnam veteran, found peace on July 13th, 2016 at the age of 69. He will be forever remembered for being a loving husband, caring father figure and beloved brother. A natural teacher, he was eager to share his life experiences and what could be learned from them. Always imparting wisdom on those around him, he became a mentor to many. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, playing golf and a good steak dinner. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Nixon; sisters, Donna Lee Cooney and Karen McCarthy; and stepchildren, Katelynn Scheren and Kevin Rathman, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, Frederick Nixon and Ann Flaherty, sister Sharlene Nixon, and son Christopher Nixon. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at the Green Acres Mortuary: 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ. A celebration of life will be held immediately after services at Goldies Restaurant: 9319 N. 94th Way Suite# 100, Scottsdale, AZ. 85258. Burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. A memorial service will be held in Boston at a later date.
