Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 23rd, 1949.
He graduated from Prospect High School in 1967, and married his devoted wife, Sandra Lee Johnson, three years later on September 12th, 1970.
Richard owned and operated J&B Meats of Mount Prospect, Illinois for 20 plus years.
He then became a top real estate agent, working in the Chicagoland area for another 20 years.
Richard was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and had many passions, including: baseball (Chicago Cubs), football (Chicago Bears), golf, tennis, bowling, skiing (both water and downhill snow), skydiving, white water rafting, poker, blackjack, and anything adventurous and exciting.
Richard always said, “You only live once so enjoy it while you can!”
He was preceded in death by his incredible, loving parents, Elaine Beverly Sickels and Howard Keats Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Johnson; his children, Richard Alan Johnson Jr. of Greeley, Colorado and Martha Lee Johnson of Scottsdale, Arizona; his grandchildren, Kristina Michelle Bilotas (Max), Chase Matthew Dwyer (Maddie), Zachary Alan Johnson, and Luke Daniel Johnson; as well as his siblings, Joyce Elaine Johnson (Pat Lawson), and Kenneth Howard Johnson (Laurie).
