Raul was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 9, 1942 to Ramon Canos Rangel and Elena Robles Rangel. He was married to Frances Baldenegro Rangel on May 25, 1973 in Chandler, Arizona.
Raul worked at Salt River Project for many years until he started his trucking business Rangel's Trucking in 1990. One of the many things he enjoyed was spending his Sundays at the Glendale Swap Meet as a vendor, with his late brother Gilbert and many of his friends. He enjoyed playing cards and dominos with all of them.
He was survived by his wife Frances Rangel; his children: Sabrina Tarazon, Rachel Rangel, Raul Rangel Jr. and preceded in passing by his daughters, Sharon Rangel and Sylvia Rangel; survived by 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Raul is also survived by his siblings: Vera Mendoza and Joe Rangel. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert Rangel and Raymond Rangel.
A funeral service and celebration of life for Raul will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 9:00 am at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery 401 North Hayden Road Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
