Laura was wonderful person, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and loyal friend. Her presence will be missed by all of her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later time when we will gather to honor her life and impact on all of us.
Laura Lynn Stolte was born August 15, 1961 in Mankato, MN to Bill and Karen Stolte, the oldest of three children. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1979 and Moorhead State University in 1983 with a degree in Accounting. She moved to Denver following graduation where she worked for several organizations ultimately landing at Wells Fargo in 1995. She felt fortunate to have the opportunity to be successful holding several senior level positions across the bank throughout her career. She remained with them until her retirement in 2021.
In 2005 she met the love of her life, Joe Schupbach, and they were married in 2006. They moved to Scottsdale in 2015 making it their permanent home. They enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, watching and attending any sporting event along with spoiling their two puppies Louie and Elmer. Their time together was far too short.
Laura had a generous spirit. She was passionate about animals and their welfare, victims of domestic abuse and with her cancer diagnosis, those who did not have the means to seek the treatment they need. She generously supported various charities who focused on these causes. She especially loved spending time with friends and family and always ensured any vacation or visit was special with one-of-a-kind experiences.
Laura is survived by her husband Joe; parents Bill and Karen Stolte; sisters Coral (Dennis) Neisen and Barb (Dick) Schultz; niece Emily (Ryan) Wolff and their children Greyson and Annie; nephews Ross Schultz, Thomas Neisen and Jack Neisen; many extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by nephew Matthew Neisen.
Although Laura's journey on Earth was far too short there's comfort in knowing she is now free. Great memories will remain with all who knew her. Rest in peace Laura.
Any memorials in honor of Laura may be made to St. Mary’s Food Bank of Phoenix, The Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, the Humane Society or any animal support charitable organization.
