James Ryon Brown, was born March 18, 1929 in Alto, LA and passed away surrounded by his family at home on March 14th after a courageous battle against Leukemia . James was united in marriage to Jayne (Haynes) 62 years ago and moved to Tempe in 1951. Family was always a source of pride and the center of his life. He will be remembered by his wife Jayne, his sons Randy (Robyn) and Ricky (Dotty), grandchildren Ryon (Cheryl), Randi Lynne, Jamie (Matt), and Jenny (Scott) and 8 great-grandchildren, his sister, Marie (Howard) Coy and brother Ed (Lorita). In 1946, James joined the Air Force and learned the welding trade that he continued for 38 years at SRP, retiring as an Assistant Superintendent. In the years that followed, James enjoyed raising tropical birds and his carpentry. James will be forever remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandpa and as a generous, wise, hard-working man.
