Jacqueline Verna Woods

Jacque left this world peacefully on May 13 to join her faithful husband of 44 years and best friend Richard (Dick) Woods. She was born in South Bend, Indiana where she was the fourth of seven children. She relocated to Phoenix in her teens where she was a legal secretary. She met the love of her life after his tour in the Army and dedicated her time to raise four children in a loving household.

Jacque is survived by her children, Susan Rishling (Jeff-deceased), Scott Woods (Vicki), Steve Woods (Linda) and Sterling Woods (Sharon). Seven grandchildren, Josh, Jacqueline, Kirstin, Ryan, Daniel, Haley and Lindsey. Five great grandchildren, Rayna, Zackary, Payson, Chloe and Caleb. Brother Burr Schall (Lucy-deceased), Sisters, Joyce Kost (Don), Donna Stone (Ernie) and Karen Hamel (Arnold).

Dick was her first and only true love. She married him when she was 18 and had a happy marriage until he passed in April of 1999. Her heart was broken when she lost him and had absolutely no desire to find a new love. She was a strong and confident woman who loved her family dearly. She was very close to her immediate family and also her sisters and mother and would do anything for any of them. She doted on her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids.

Funeral services will take place at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery on Saturday May 19, 2018 at 11:00am with a reception to follow.
