Garth Marion Cummins went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ October 17, 2012. Garth was born in Oakley, Idaho on March 19, 1921 to Phillip Shaw Cummins and Verla Lizzy Boren Cummins. He was the oldest of 15 children, many of whom are still living. He married Violet Juanita Rhoades October 12, 1940. Juanita preceded him in death. Garth is survived by three children; Bill (Norma), Marie (Lee) and Mike (Sherry). He has 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. He served in the US Army during World War II and was stationed in Hiroshima immediately after the surrender. He worked on the Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years then retired. He and Juanita moved to Cave Creek Arizona. They loved traveling in their RV. Garth had many hobbies including jewelry making. He loved trains and airplanes and made balsa models of airplanes by hand with fine detail. He had a private flying license and loved to fly. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend.
Because of Garth's great generosity the family would like donations in lieu of flowers to go to the Salvation Army to help the poor.
