Doris Faynelle Lee graduated from Southside HS in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and in 1950 married Wilbur Allen Johnson in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. They were married for 62 years before his passing in 2012. She was a gifted homemaker for decades while raising her family and also worked as a secretary for "A Touch of Glass", in central Phoenix. In her younger years, Doris loved bowling in leagues with her husband Wilbur. She loved to play cards never turning down a game even at 90!
For the last 4 years her son Randy and his wife Kelly moved closer to her home, she enjoyed many outings going to dinners, lunches, day trips, grandchildren and great-grandchildren parties, and especially loved going to the Arizona State Fair!
She is survived by her sons, Randy Lee Johnson; Rick Alan Johnson; her daughter, Karen Tankersley; her grandchildren: Tricia Raynor, Robin Mattila, Michael Johnson; her great grandchildren: Emily Clayden, Avery Clayden, Noah Clayden, Amanda Mattila, and Jake Mattila; her nieces: Cherie Sawyer, Helen Hutchins, Kim McConnell, Theresa Fackler, and Suzzette Berghorff.
A graveside service for Doris will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257. All people attending are welcome to a reception following at 5:00 PM at the home of Randy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' memory may be made to the Arizona Humane Society in the link below.
