It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cody Smith on Monday, December 2, 2024. Cody, a beloved husband, father and friend, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and unwavering support for those fortunate enough to have known him.

Cody was an avid outdoorsman. His passion for nature and outdoor adventures was passed to him by his father, LeRoy Smith. These activities not only filled his life with cherished memories but also helped forge lifelong friendships. Cody’s dedication to the outdoors extended beyond personal enjoyment; he loved sharing his knowledge and experiences with others, teaching those around him to appreciate the beauty of the world and the joy of hunting.

A devoted sports fan, Cody followed the San Francisco 49ers, the New York Yankees and the Phoenix Suns with fervor and dedication. And support of his teams was frequently accompanied by his characteristic mix of excitement and frustration.

Cody was a friend to all. He was a quiet and thoughtful man who had an innate ability to listen and provide comfort. His support was unwavering, and he was always the first to extend a hand to anyone in need. Whether in times of joy or sorrow, Cody’s calm presence was a source of strength for many.

Above all, Cody was an extraordinary husband and father. He and his loving wife, Tiffany, celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in October 2024 and shared 19 beautiful years together. Their love story began in childhood, blossomed in early adulthood and flourished in the years that followed.

Cody’s greatest joy, however, was his beautiful daughter, Harper. From the moment he laid eyes on her, Cody’s heart was captured by his incredible baby girl. Together, they enjoyed countless moments of laughter and love, from outdoor adventures and daddy-daughter date nights to wrestling matches, dance parties and cozy cuddle sessions. Their bond was beyond special.

Along with Tiffany and Harper, Cody is survived by his step-mother, Deborah Ward; step-sister, Lisa Ward; and niece, Taylor Ward. Cody also leaves behind a community of friends who were like family to him, all of whom will deeply miss his kindness, generosity and friendship.

With his passing, Cody leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his warmth, shared experiences and laughter will provide them with comfort in the years to come. He will forever be remembered with love and admiration.
