Anthony A. Lapinsky

Anthony Ambrose Lapinsky, born January 18, 1934, passed away on May 20, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born in Coal Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna Lapinsky. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps after finishing high school. A talented musician and showman, he graduated from Ithaca College and embarked on a career in music education. While instilling a passion for music and marching band precision in many students, he continued his own education to earn advanced degrees, including a PhD from Syracuse University in Educational Administration. He went on to lead teachers and other administrators as an administrator as well as school district superintendent in New York State.

Anthony and his wife, Yvonne Rotiski Lapinsky, had recently left Manchester Township, New Jersey after 28 years and relocated in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also survived by his daughter Diane Raba and his son Anthony Lapinsky, nephew Kris Korbich, and their families. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4 at 12:00 p.m. at Green Acres Mortuary Chapel at 401 North Hayden Rd. in Scottsdale with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
