San Juana Salazar, 68, of Scottsbluff, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at her home. Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Father Phil Flott officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, and from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A memorial has been established in care of the family. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com San Juana was born September 17, 1945, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Cesario Garibay and Guadalupe Reyes. She married Miguel Salazar in 1962, and moved to Scottsbluff in 1975. She worked numerous years in agriculture. She was employed by Western Sugar tarelab for 20 years, up until her retirement due to health reasons. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She served as Eucharistic Minister and helped with the annual dinners. She was always caring of her children and grandchildren, putting their needs before her own. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Miguel Salazar; son, Juan (Jenny) Salazar of Hanover, Indiana; daughter, Maria Salazar of Orlando, Florida; son, Alejandro (Samantha) Salazar of Scottsbluff; daughter, Norma Salazar of Scottsbluff; daughter, Guadalupe Salazar of Scottsbluff; siblings, Guadalupe Garibay, Fidel Garibay, and Jose Angel Garibay; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Fernando Salazar; three brothers.
