Robert O York

Rober was born on September 23, 1936 at Lusk, Wyoming to Otto and Bessie (From) York. He was the oldest child of 4 children, Robert, Edward, James (deceased) and Mary.

The York family lived in rural Sioux County, Nebraska. Robert boarded with his Grandmother Jane York while he attended 1st grade at Harrison, and with the W.E. Mumbly family through the second grade. In the spring of 1945, the family bought a ranch in the Prairie Center, Wyoming Community south of VanTassell, Wyoming. He attended the Prairie Center rural school through the 10th grade and then went back to finish his formal education at Harrison, Nebraska, graduating with the class of 1955.

Robert married Nancy K. Pullen in Harrison, Nebraska on September 20, 1958. This union was blessed with 3 children, Wayde E. (Lisa Howard) York, Wendi (Dana) McCormick and Polly (Tom) Perlinski.

Surviving Robert is his wife of 66 years Nancy, his three children and their spouses, 7 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. His brother Edward of Texas, sister Mary and Roger Feagler of Buffalo, Wyoming and sister-in-law Dianne York of Torrington, Wyoming.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Bessie York, inlaws Elmer and Wilma Pullen, his maternal and paternal grandparents and his brother James.
