Funeral services for James Allen Marker, age 73 of Melbeta, NE who died January 26, 2022 at his home, will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 10:30 am, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chad Rademacher officiating. He was born on July 7, 1948, at Scottsbluff, NE, to Raymond and Vera (Howard) Marker. He received is early education at McGrew, graduated from Minatare High School, and attended Scottsbluff Jr. College and Chadron State College graduating with a Bachelor Degree. He married Janice Miller on June 20, 1970, at Bayard NE, and the couple made their home in the Melbeta Community for about 25 years.
Survivors include wife Jan, son Ty (Kerry) Marker of Gering, NE and daughter Heidi (Joel) Ahrens of Sidney, NE; grandchildren Ethan Marker, Liz Marker, Eli Ahrens, and Chloe Ahrens; sister Linda Sinks of Bridgeport, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by his father Ray, mother Vera (Howard) Marker, mother and father in law George H. and Marie (Meter) Miller and brother in law Dave Sinks.
