Dana C. Garvin, 55, of Scottsbluff passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Cremation has taken place as per request of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made in care of the family to be established at a later date. Dana was born April 3, 1957 in Scottsbluff to Fred D. and Betty J. (Pfenning) Garvin. He received his early education in Mitchell, Nebraska and graduated from Mitchell. He married Cheryl L. Moore April 17, 1987 in Hot Springs, South Dakota and the couple made their home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Dana enjoyed many hobbies including collecting cars and doing wood working. Dana is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl, of Scottsbluff; daughter, Nicole of the home; mother, Betty Garvin, of Scottsbluff; brothers, Lynn (Colleen) Garvin and Kort (Sue) Garvin both of Gering; sister Cindy (Clyde) Aguallo of Scottsbluff; his aunts and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dana is preceded in death by his dad, Fred; maternal and paternal grandparents, and nephew, Michael Wondercheck. Dana will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
