Born on December 20, 1948, in Mitchell Nebraska, Bobby was a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew him. He spent his later years in Gering, Nebraska, dedicating himself to his family and community. As a moderately religious man anchored in Christianity. Bobby was a proud and active member of Christ the King Church. His faith informed his everyday actions and warmth he extended to others, making him a beloved and trusted figure within his spiritual community.
Bobby’s life was rife with achievements, but his greatest pride lay in his marriage to Olga Briones, which commenced on June 1, 1968. Together they faced life’s trials and triumphs, building a family imbued with the values of love, dedication, and generosity that defined Bobby’s own life. His children-Robert, Raquel, and Jeremy-were his joy and he took immense pride in watching their lives unfold.
An avid lover of the outdoors Bobby’s yard was his personal haven. His dedication to it mirrored the meticulous care he endowed upon his relationships both familial and platonic. The vibrancy of holiday decorations at his home stands a testament to his joy in celebrating life with others, as he unfailingly brought merriment to those around him. Bobby was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Barbara Blanco, And his great-granddaughter Yasmine Faith Munoz whose foundation supported the life he so richly lived. He is survived by a devoted family: his wife, Olga Blanco, along with his children Robert (Tammy), Raquel and Jeremy, 13 Grand kids, 2 great grandkids, his sister Linda Betancur, his brother David Blanco (Georgia), Carmelo Blanco (Phyllis), Nancy (Kenny) Hernandez all of whom embody his life’s principles.
In Celebration of Bobby’s life, a viewing will be held at 4 pm- 6 pm Thursday November 14 at Christ the king Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will follow at 6pm at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday November 15, at 10:30 am, dinner to immediately follow. Family and friends are invited to gather, sharing memories and embracing the enduring love Bobby leaves in his wake.
