Walsh, Shirley Ann, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, at the age of 88. Shirley graduated from Scituate High School. She was inducted as the first Worthy Advisor into the International Order of the Rainbow Girls in Scituate. Following high school, she worked for New England Telephone Company as an operator. After raising her five children, she earned a Masters degree in Human Resource Management from Cambridge College, and worked as a Resource Agent in Cambridge. Shirley was known by her family and friends to be a gourmet cook.
She was the beloved mother of Steven Damon (Pamela) of Arlington, WA, Martin Damon (Denise) of Chester, PA, Thomas Damon of Coldbrook, NY, Timothy Damon (Teresa) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Linda Briggs of Weymouth, MA. Nana Shirley was the dear grandmother of Michael, Justin, Vanessa, Thomas Jr., Nicholas, Richard, Amy, Sean, Sarah, Travis, Trevor, Tegan, Jared, and Marissa; and the great grandmother of 18 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Olga (Bongarzone) Walsh. In addition, Shirley was the loving sister of Kathleen Russo (Joseph), Livia Walsh (Irving), Antonette Hood (William), Janie Bombardier (Lawrence), and Dallora Osier (Frederick). She is, also, survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
