Richard Peter Balzarini

Richard Peter Balzarini- Age 91, of Scituate, passed away November 12, 2024 after a brief illness surrounded by his family. Born in Barre, VT on September 28, 1933, he was the son of the late Silvio and Dina Balzarini. Loving husband of 54 years to Ines Balzarini. Cherished father of Christine Balzarini Hagan, her husband Russell Hagan of Somerset and Greg Balzarini, his wife Alana Balzarini of Norton. Beloved Papa to Samantha, Caralee, Harper & Finn. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was pre-deceased by his sister Josephine Crosta.

Richard moved to Quincy when he was 8 years old and went on to graduate from Quincy High School in 1951. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, and went on to graduate from Boston University in 1960. Richard and Ines married on April 25, 1970 in Quincy before moving to Scituate and building their dream home in 1975.

Richard was a talented salesman in advertising working for House & Garden Magazine (A Conde Nast publication) in New York. A seasoned traveler, he was also an avid skier.

Richard was a huge Boston sports fan and if the game was on TV, he was watching. He loved his daily newspapers and the news in general.

Richard was most happy in the summers he spent in Chatham surrounded by his family and close friends. He had an immense love for God and Country. He was an outgoing soul who touched many and was loved by all.

A visitation will take place on Saturday November 23, 2024 from 10am-12pm. A funeral service will follow at 12pm in the funeral home chapel.
