Peter Spillane

Peter B. Spillane, age 83, of Scituate, formerly of Quincy, passed away October 28, 2016. Loving husband of 63 years to Suzanne (Montagne) Spillane. Peter is survived by his children Peter M. Spillane (Jeanne) of Scituate, Mary S. Dawson (John) of Norwell, Margaret S. Kelly (Joseph) of Pembroke, Sean M. Spillane (Janice) of Londonderry NH, Mark R. Spillane (Louise) of East Bridgewater and Paul S. Spillane (Brent Henry); grandchildren Matthew, Brian, Andrew (Tori), Chris, Jeff, Ryan, Caroline, Liam (Monica), Kevin, Michael and Stephen; sisters Kathy Jankins of Raynham, and Judy Michalak of Whitman, as well as many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Thelma Spillane, his sister Mary Spillane and his brother Dick Spillane.

Pete was a graduate of Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT (Class of '54), where he met Suzanne. He retired from Comm Energy in Cambridge, MA, where he served as the Vice President of Public Relations & Advertising. Pete was a passionate man who enjoyed gardening and tending to his beautiful flowers and walking the beach with his golden, Eva. He was also a master ship model builder, self-taught air conductor, Christmas decorator extraordinaire, and an avid New England sports fan. Nothing was more important to Pete or gave him greater pride & joy than admiring & spending time with his family (who were all "special" to him).

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate where a visitation will take place Friday November 4, 2016 from 4-8pm. Funeral service from Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 8:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 10 Summer St., Cohasset. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Peter’s name may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
