Pauline White

Pauline Gladu White, born in Woonsocket, RI to Yvonne and Armand Gladu of Peter Pan Ice Cream, passed away peacefully and on her own terms in her Hingham, MA home on Tuesday, April 14th, 2021, with family and close friends beside her.

She and her late husband, Hendrie's Ice Cream co-founder Donald W. White, Sr., resided in Scituate, MA for many years. Pauline enjoyed painting, had a natural eye for interior decorating, and loved traveling the world with husband and family. They were members of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and enjoyed weekends sailing around Cape Cod.

Pauline will be remembered for her tenacity, generosity and wicked sense of humor. She was a volunteer at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl.

Pauline is survived by her sons Dominic, Donald, and Adam, as well as her stepchildren Cynthia, Donny, and Bradford. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Gladu, sisters Janet Mitchell and Claire Zagaglia, and her five grandchildren Oliva, Trevor, Holden, Cooper and Amelia.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, at St. Mary of the Nativity Church on 1 Kent Street, Scituate, MA. Church capacity is limited to family and close friends and masks and social distancing will be required.
