Linda Norton

NORTON, Linda L.- Age 82, of Scituate and formerly of Rockland, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of November 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hajjar and Emilia Estefano. She was the loving wife of the late John “Jack” Norton Jr., whom she shared 55 wonderful years or marriage. Loving mother of John H. Norton III of Norwell, Lisa Butler, her husband Donald of Whitman, Kristine Norton of Roslindale and Daniel Norton of Scituate. Beloved Grammy to Matthew, Molly, Daniel, Cole, Ryan, Abigail, Jessica, Kyliek and great Grammy to Jazlynn, Emilia and John.

Linda was a graduate of Dorchester High School where she went on to work as a successful legal secretary for many years at Ropes & Gray LLC. She was an avid reader and could always be found with a book in her hand. She loved the Red Sox, the beach, especially Mayflower Beach and the many beaches in Aruba, spoiling her husband Jack with her fabulous cooking, but she was never happier than when she was spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.

A visitation will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 10-12pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home. A service will follow at 12pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norwell VNA and Hospice at https://www.nvna.org/charitable-fund
