Marion Alice (Hickernell) Laucks

Marion Alice Laucks, 94, of Stevens, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in the Hospice and Community Care Center in Mt. Joy, PA. She was the wife of the late Louis R. Laucks. Marion was born in Berks County on September 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Anspach Hickernell. She was employed for 30 years as a nurse’s aide at Lebanon VA Medical Center and a member of Elias United Church of Christ in Newmanstown. Marion loved spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren and enjoyed coloring and reading. Surviving are children, Robert Laucks and wife Michele of Lancaster; Russell Laucks and wife Michele of Lebanon; Cynthia Buchter and husband Gary of Stevens; grandchildren, Hilary Walter and husband Scott, Nathan Laucks and wife Monica, Kendra Buchter, Krystle Buchter, Erik Laucks, Amanda Laucks; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Sauter and husband Herman of Newmanstown; Laura Mease of Myerstown. Marion was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Hickernell and Richard Hickernell; sisters, Mildred Karsnitz, Kathryn Walker and Shirley Clemens. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10 am in Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, PA; with a visitation beginning on Saturday at 9 am. Interment will be made in Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt.
