Will is survived by his parents Don and Joanne (nee Florio) Siegel, his brother Tristan Siegel, and his sister Elizabeth Siegel, brother-in-law Bryce Therrien, nephew Jude Therrien, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Will was born in the Bronx on April 11, 1985. He graduated from Edgemont High School and received a BFA from School of Visual Arts in Cinematography. Will was an artist, a professional photographer and during the two years at the height of the COVID pandemic he greatly enjoyed working at the DeCicco’s & Sons Family Market in Scarsdale.
Will loved his entire family. He enjoyed sneaking candy to his nephew, buying everyone many small gifts throughout the year for no particular reason, but just because “it’s something you’d like.” He sent them daily inspirational messages to make sure they started their days with a positive message and love. He loved movies and music. He often quizzed family members on movie quotes. He wrote his own movie scripts. Will loved music of all genres, and made playlists for his nephew so the little guy would “listen to everything.” He dabbled in the piano and drums. His passion was photography. He had an uncanny ability to capture the small simple beauty of the natural world in photographs. He enjoyed taking family portraits. His photographs can be viewed on his website: https://williamantonyphotographs.com/.
Will was a staunch believer in justice and equality for all, in particular the rights of indigenous peoples. He loved to study their culture and traditions. He supported the work of the Lakota’s People’s Law Project.
He was goofy, funny and friendly, and he was grounded by his love of people and life. He was loved by everyone who met him, and he will be sorely missed. He is resting with his grandparents William Boris and Frieda (nee Webster) Siegel, and Frank and Gussie (nee Fazio) Florio.
A service for William will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. Those wishing to pay their respect to William and his family can arrive at 11:00 AM, and the memorial service will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
