Roger Jacobs

Roger C. Jacobs of Scituate, MA, died peacefully on May 27, 2012, at age 71, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Nancy (Johnson) Jacobs. Devoted father of Daniel Jacobs and his wife Stephanie of Houlton, ME, and Michael Jacobs of Las Vegas, NV. Cherished grandfather of Hannah and Nolan Jacobs. Also survived by a brother, Kenneth and sister, Elizabeth and a niece, Leah and nephew, Joshua.

Born in Yonkers, NY, Roger was a graduate of Yonkers High School and Marietta College and was a retired Sr. Vice President of Paine Webber in Boston. An active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Scituate, MA, he was also a past president of the Scituate Rotary Club and a bicyclist in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for the Jimmy Fund. He had also served on the board of Scituate's Community Christmas and was a member of the Marine Reserves from 1965 to 1969.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Road at 2PM on June 2nd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger's memory to the Endowment Fund at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA 02066, or the American Cancer Society
