Bob was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1952, to Carleton R. and Mary Francis (Baggott) Elliott. The family moved to Scarsdale, New York in 1954. Bob attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School and Scarsdale High School, graduating in 1970. It was at Scarsdale High School that Bob began playing music; he was a member of several bands there.
Bob enjoyed thirty years as a professional musician, playing keyboards and harmonica, singing, and leading groups. He toured widely across the U.S. and played for several years on cruise ships. In 2001, he returned to Westchester, where he worked for several local taxi companies until shortly before his death.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Maribeth Wilmer. He is survived by his brother John Elliott, two nieces, three grand-nieces and a grand-nephew. He is remembered with great affection by his former wife Theresa Cynthia Ollivierre and his musical collaborators, many of whom he had worked with since their high school days.
Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe.
We will hold an informal gathering to remember and celebrate Bob's life on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 1:30 to 4:00 p.m., at the 808 Bistro: 808 Scarsdale Avenue, Scarsdale, NY, 10583
