George L. Brindley

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George L. Brindley, aged 85, of Scarsdale, New York. George passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in New Rochelle, NY, on August 20, 1939, to George and Della Brindley.

George was a devoted husband to his late wife, Nancy Grimaldi, whom he married on May 6, 1961, in New Rochelle. They shared 60 beautiful years together, building a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. George was a loving father to his children, George Brindley (Elena) and Nancy Weishaus (Steve). He was also a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: George, Louis, Steven, Michaela, and Christian, and great granddaughter Amelia. In addition to his immediate family, George is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth and kindness. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Nancy.

George will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the respect he showed to all. We will carry George’s memory with us always and forever.

A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A Funeral Mass will occur Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 8 Carman Rd, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A committal will occur Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530.
