The wonderful Anshul singing his love duet with a fellow Dartmouth Opera Lab Company member in VAUDEVILLE at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. He never gave up. 

I worked with Anshul with the Dartmouth Opera Lab. He was an ardent Company member, and when his condition was not cooperative, he always found a way to stay in touch, to be part of his artistic family, and to sing.  He shared his concerns that he might miss rehearsals and be not able to perform at our big show, VAUDEVILLE. I suggested we videotape him as a backup, and he agreed. He wanted to sing a love duet. Performance day, he was under the weather, but he was part of the DOL Company, he sang his love duet, and he received huge applause. Anshul was, is, will be an example of curiosity, generosity, talents, and, best of all, love. 

I’m saddened and distressed to just learn of Anshul’s passing. I'm a history professor at Dartmouth and Anshul took two courses with me, one in his first year and a second before finishing last year. He was a deeply perceptive and conscientious student who uplifted our class sessions with his formidable intellect, his sense of curiosity and warmth, and his commitment to justice. He told me a little about his illness, but insisted that it not interfere with his studies. I enjoyed our conversations both in and outside of class. I offer my sympathies to all of you who lost such a kind and vital person.  Trust that he will be well-remembered.

Sending my deepest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time.  I never had the good fortune of meeting you in person but I have always heard so many amazing things about you through Sugriv chacha ji and Alok Uncle. I am sure a lot of people looked up to you and your impact on them will never go away.

You are not truly gone, you still live in cherished memories and love you have shared with friends and family around you. I hope you rest in peace and your family finds the courage to get through this difficult time.

To the Family

Always the tallest in the room: that was my first impression of Anshul.  And with the biggest heart.

I met him only once on a Japan trip with the Tarumi Violinist.  Anshul was picture-perfect with Ayan, his younger brother, and an accomplished violinist.  I remember Anshul as a very handsome, kind, calm-mannered, presumably very smart young gentleman.

He will be sorely missed not only by me and my family but also by the Tarumi Violinist families.   I hope that Anshul will be with Ayan and the family as a guardian angel, always.

It is impossible to find the right words to express the depth of sorrow that I feel. My hearts goes out to loved ones, who have suffered an immeasurable loss. He was taken from us far too soon.
Though he was just one person, he made a significant impact on everyone he met. He fought bravely and never lost hope, even in the face of such a daunting challenge. His strength, courage, and determination are an inspiration to us all.

I met him for a very short period and I still can't shake off that smile he had on his beautiful face .
It makes me feel so sad about his death he was such a beautiful child and he'll always be remembered and wherever he is resting he may rest in peace and get all the Love he deserves

Compared to the short time we were in each other’s lives, I have so many pictures of him. That’s the kind of generous, magnetic person Anshul was - I just couldn’t help but document him. He was larger than life to me and so many others, and he taught me so much. 

The world has lost someone who made it a better and brighter place. I’m sending all my condolences and prayers to his family and the countless people who loved him. 

Anshul was darling for all of us. In last 16 years, we saw him as one of the most gentle kid to a growing teen to a high achieving young adult. It was great fun to be around him and learn from his intellect. Can’t believe he is not around us any more. His shining personality will live in our hearts for ever.

I had the great honor of being an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 8 in Scarsdale and working with Anshul, who was one of the outstanding stars of our Troop. His dedication to Scouting and its values resulted in him achieving our highest honor…Eagle Scout. It is a rare achievement which speaks volumes about Anshul as a person because it takes toughness, tenacity, will power, persistence, camaraderie, and commitment. He was a shinning example of all these values and demonstrated them not only in Scouting but in his personal life as well. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. The world needs young men like Anshul; we were blessed to have him in our lives. My family and the entire Scouting community extends to his family our heartfelt sympathies and condolences. 

Anshul was one of most sincere, smart, thoughtful and compassionate kid. I have known him from the time he was 7yrs old.  Thinking about his dimpled smile makes me want to smile with him. I remember how the love and warmth always reached his eyes. He has departed too soon. The world is a sadder place without him. 


Dear Anshul,
I have some very fond memories of my childhood with you. Sadly would never get a chance to relive those memories again with you. Praying that you are in a better place and at peace. 
Masi mausaji and ayan, i can't even imagine what you must be going through. All the strength in the world to you hoping you get through this really tragic loss. We will always be there as a big brother and bhabhi for Ayaan and support for masi and mausaji.

Anshul was a kind person who I always looked up to. He was a mentor who went out of his way to help others and a role model who would inspire everyone around him. I will forever be grateful for everything he taught me. My deepest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

It's hard to find the words. Anshul was one of my very favorite people on this Earth. His good intentions were always clear, and he has always accepted, embraced, and supported me for who I am.  I love Anshul like a younger brother, and I am devastated to lose his laughter, companionship, and amazing energy. 

He was such a talented choreographer, always considering musicality, levels, and forms, caring so much about the other dancers. He was always so supportive and encouraging to everyone, and pushed me to follow my heart and keep dancing. He was my closest friend on Street Soul. I cherished learning every single one of his choreographies, and him learning all of mine. 

Anshul was always there for me during my tough times in 2020, even if it just was chatting on the phone or playing smash bros together for a few hours to take my mind off things. He always made an effort to keep in touch and call me and visit even when I moved far away to Los Angeles. He was a better friend than I could have ever asked for. 

I will miss getting curry at Tuk Tuk together, yelling and laughing playing smash, our long phones calls, and of course, dancing side by side. Anshul was so brave, funny, and pure. He never gave up hope no matter how tough things got. The world is a better place because of him and I will never forget him.

For the brief time that I knew him, I came to see that Anshul was a talented writer and a kind person. There is no pain/grief greater than a parent saying goodbye to their child.  My wife and I both come from families where we lost siblings while our parents were around. We can imagine what Deepika & Alok are feeling these days. Our prayers remain with them as they gradually come to terms with this reality. 
Time & Faith are great healers.  While Anshul is physically not present, his vibrant, fond memories are  alive in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. 
We pray to the almighty God to help them cope with this loss and help bring back their vibrant and contagious smile. Om Shanti, Shanti Shanti!

I don't know what to say. You never know how bad with words you are until you get to moments like this. 

Anshul was a smart and kind person who I appreciated and learned a lot from. He gave me treasured memories and wonderful opportunities. He tolerated me at my most insufferable, and though I didn't express gratitude at the time and thought nothing of it, in hindsight I know it was possible because it was Anshul, and that his compassion and understanding were not to be taken for granted. 

He and I have grown apart, and that leaves me with more regret. Moving on from one another's lives is one thing, giving closure and respect where it's due is another. I only wish I had apologized for inconvenience I caused him and thanked him for it all. I wish I had reciprocated his kindness and patience. I will always wish to be as good a person as he is, but even more, I wish I had been to him before. 

Anshul's passing is a terrible loss to those who know and love him, but I hope that he rests in peace, and I don't doubt he'll be in a good place. I can't imagine the pain his family feels, but I send my deepest, sincerest condolences, and hope that his friends remember to celebrate his life, not just mourn his passing. 

Anshul and I bonded over our shared love of our camp, CTY. We would study together for some of our many shared classes in high school. He was so focused and passionate. 

Anshul was one of the first people I met and befriended at Dartmouth, and I remember being both intimidated by his debate skills and struck by how genuinely insightful he was. Anshul was a leader in everything he attempted, from debate to gaming to dance; moreover, he was kind and patient with every newcomer too. I'm so sad to hear this news, and I'm so lucky to have called him my friend. 

Gone too soon Bhai. Everybody's favourite child of Dada Dadi ji family. One of the pillar of our family has shattered.We will always miss him. May god give our family all strength to face these challenging times.

I first met Anshul in sophomore year of college through the Dartmouth Political Times, a club of which he was President. Since then, our friendship grew and I came to greatly appreciate his sense of passion, his warmth, and his optimism. He had so many amazing interests. Whether it was dancing, playing Smash, writing, coding, or politics Anshul always shone extremely brightly. I’m deeply saddened to hear about his passing and I will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences go out to Anshul’s family and friends.

Utterly speechless. Anshul was one of the brightest people I knew at Dartmouth and an undeniably good man. His positivity always encapsulated the room, and he always treated everyone like an old friend. It is incredibly painful but I also feel blessed that I got to know such a paragon of kindness and virtue. He truly, truly brought out the best in anyone he talked to, and it pains me knowing that there will be no more memories like 1 AM Smash Bros. sessions. The way he loved others and loved this world will live on, and I offer my condolences. Rest in peace man.

He was my debate captain-- but most importantly he was a wonderful friend, a caring, hard-working, and kind person that always put so much of himself into the people around him. 
There are so many memories to mention from his time in high school-- from when he would make us paper plate awards for the entire team, to when he would spend his free time helping all the 9th graders even though he had absolutely no obligation to do so, to all the silly debate weekends where he’d encourage us all as a role model and mentor. He took on a role like no other in our lives, and he is — quite literally— the reason I’m not scared of public speaking anymore. I remember he used to encourage us so much— to tell us that we were always smart enough and good enough. 

I am devastated by the news of Anshul’s passing, and send condolences and prayers to the family. He may not be with us today, but he lives on in our memories and in the impact he has left on us all. May he Rest In Peace.

Anshul was my dearest friend and debate partner from high school. He has always been a steadfast friend and amazing role model. He taught me many things and always put his best effort forward  My deepest condolences to his other friends and family; we lost a truly exceptional person. Though we cannot meet him anymore, he will remain in our hearts and minds forever as well as everything we do.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anshul through Connie. He had such a wonderful and kind soul, truly a bright spirit. I remember sharing laughs with him during a trivia night with friends and having so much fun. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace. 

Anshul was one of the first friend I made when I first moved to America. Even after I had moved continents away, we remained in touch.  During my military service, I remember we would message each other just to catch each other up. We shared our writings with each other, talk about sports, discuss future plans, and have a laugh about stupid things that we did back in middle school. He was absolutely brilliant, brimming with warmth and creativity. He was like a brother to me. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.

I'm so blessed to have met Anshul through Connie. I'll always remember our animated conversations about our love for Pokemon and the fun we all had together in San Diego.  Though I only got to know him during brief periods of time, it was so easy to see how kind and bright of a person he was. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
