Robert Houghton (Bob), resident of Guelph Ontario, passed away peacefully at his home in his 73rd year surrounded by his family. He was born Dec 9th 1947 in Toronto Ontario and died Sept 27th 2020. Bob was employed by the Toronto Transit Commission and was a member of the ATU113 for 31 years. He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and any other Toronto Sports team. Bob was also a coach for Hockey and Baseball in the 80s and 90s. He will be sadly missed by wife, Mary Houghton. Children, Scott (Nikki), Deborah, Matthew (Jennifer) and Michelle. Grandchildren Hannah, Marcus, Braedon, Chloe, Connor, Mya, Dax, Luca and Dakota. He was predeceased by parents Cecilia and Bud, first wife Cynthia Houghton. May he rest in eternal peace. The viewing and service will be held on October 3 2020 at 10:30am at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home 1939 Lawrence Ave E Scarborough Ontario. Graveside service will follow after the viewing and service at 1:00pm at 33 Memory Garden Lane North York. Memorial donations may be made to the International Elephant Organization in memory of Robert Houghton.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND GUIDELINES The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated: • Permitted gathering sizes inside a building for funeral visitation and chapel services, will be up to 30% of the maximum room capacities (excluding funeral staff) while maintaining the six foot physical distancing rule. • Guests are reminded to wear masks. The Funeral Home staff will be responsible for monitoring these numbers and will be collecting contact information from each visitor, as per the Health Authority’s guidelines. For the visitation and service on Saturday the chapel will accommodate a total of 34 people and will be monitored as guests come and go. Guests are reminded to maintain the physical distancing.
