Robert William Hayes

Robert William Hayes passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years on September 1st. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Diane, and his daughters Carol Ann (the late Bob Welch), Susan, Janice (Rick) and Bobbi (Andrej) and his sister Elsie Killingbeck, his grandchildren Samantha (Fernando), Christopher, Brittany (Zach), William and Rachelle, and by his great grandchildren Jason and Isabella. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and all who knew and loved him. He is now with our Lord and his parents Julia & Gladstone and his sisters Lilian, Jeanette, Edna, sister-in-law June Roscoe his brothers in law Wilson Skanes, Tony Spelchuk, Johnny Huke, Lorne Killingbeck and Ted Roscoe, and his cousin George Gill. Bob will be remembered as a gentle, quiet man who was always willing to lend a hand or try his best to fix something that was broken, he was always found puttering with something and his love of cars was infamous as well as his love of photography. At his request there will be no funeral, cremation will take place. His family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to Scarborough Health Network or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
