Kay Anderson, loved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully at Presentation Manor, in her 93rd year. Kay was a prairie girl who grew up with her family George and Lily Hepworth and brother George on a homestead near Assiniboia Saskatchewan. She met the love of her life, William Anderson while both were actors in the drama troupe at the University of Saskatchewan and they married in 1951 in Ann Arbour Michigan. Over the 72 years of their marriage they raised 9 children - Kathy (Dan), Debby - deceased (Bernie), Michael - deceased, Kevin, Barbara, Christine (Kenn), Tracy, Tony (Karen), and Howard (Jennifer). She delighted in her 10 grandchildren - Emily (Matt), Kelly (Lauren), Katie (Phil), Jenny, Brennan (Carla), Elyse (Kevin), Keira (Chris), Carson (Martina), Lauren and Maddy and 14 great-grands - Austin, Ethan, Aubrey, Andie, Alex, Jonny, Kennedy, Ivy, William, Hailey, Elodie, Gabriel, Freddie and Sam. Kay was a woman full of love and giving, a loyal friend, an ever-hopeful gardener, and a woman with an artistic and creative perspective. Her faith gave her both solace and the fire to support and search for social justice. She lived and died courageously. In lieu of flowers please consider support for any social agency which supports the education of girls, plant a plant or pay forward a kindness to a person in need in her name. A family Memorial Mass, cremation and inurnment in Stratford, Ontario will take place.
