Mrs. Josephine Gordon (nee Gileo), born on April 22, 1930 in Toronto, passed away peacefully at age 93 on May 27, 2023. She is survived by her children (and out-laws), Susan (Terry), Kathryne (Larry), William (Laurie), David, Joseph (Margaret-Ann), and Michael; her grandchildren, Nicole (Josh), Alanna, Todd (Jennifer), Sarah (Rob), William (Brittany), Jon (Nikki), Hillary (Adam), Danielle, Devon, Amanda (Ahmed), and Paige; and great-grandchildren, Jonah, Jake, Austin, Daisy, Charlie, Kylie, Zachary, Norah, Heath, Gannon, Harrison, Calvin, Alexis and Tyceson. Born to Sicilian immigrants during the Great Depression, Josie was the second youngest of 10 siblings and would go on to have a large (and loud) family of her own. The last of her generation, Josie was an independent soul with seemingly boundless energy. Josie enjoyed a good conversation with anyone, and if no one was around, Josie had no qualms asking Google a question or two. Christmas socks and home-made crocheted dish cloths were a staple during the holidays and a spaghetti dinner would be on the table for anyone who dropped by. Josie will be interred with the love of her life, Frank Clark, who predeceased her in 2001. Special thanks to the staff at the Tillsonburg Retirement Home, the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Josie’s long-time physician in Scarborough, Dr. Karim Eid. Public visitation will take place on June 5 at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. in Scarborough. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
Keep a go.
