Dr. Samuel McKee Cannon

Dr. Samuel McKee Cannon Sr., 88, of Savannah, passed away on September 18, 2015. Samuel was born March 8th, 1927 to the late Eddie and Lillie Cannon. Samuel is also preceded in death by his late wife Carolyn. Dr. Samuel M. Cannon Sr. served in the United States Navy in 1944 on the USS Sennet SS-408. He later graduated from Emory University to become a successful Orthodontist in Atlanta until his retirement. Samuel married his wife Marjorie 24 years ago, and the two moved to Skidaway Island where they have lived for the last 20 years. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Cannon, son Samuel McKee Cannon, Jr., stepchildren Dianne, Walter, and Cheryl, and grandchildren Samantha and Ryan. Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20th at 1pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Private burial will be held at a later date.
