She was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 1, 1933, a daughter of William and Sarah Lewis Shaw. Kathryn attended Savannah schools. She was a life time communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist where she served as a communion minister for a number of years and was active in the Bible study at the church.
Kathryn loved to paint and also loved to bake and decorate cakes. To know Kathryn was to immediately fall in love with her and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Kathryn is survived by her four daughters, Claudia Scott, Kathy Morrison, (Steve) of Charlotte, NC, Donna Scott and Paula Malaise, (Allen) of Waterloo, Iowa; three sons, George Scott (Jolene) of Pulaski, GA, Greg Scott (Angie), Don Scott, (Sharon) of Hiram, GA; a sister, Shirley Dixon (Boddy), ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with a rosary service at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00am, Thursday at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist conducted by Monsignor William O. O'Neill. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
