On June 5, 1922, George Warren Williams was born to George & Lillie Mae Williams of Screven County, Georgia. He later moved to Savannah, Georgia, with his mother and sister Rena M. Knight where he began a study of the bible with his family. He was then baptized in 1954 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and brother Brantley W. Williams.
On August 3, 1957, he married the love of his life Florence Borders. To his union was born a daughter.
George served Jehovah faithfully for fifty nine years. He considered it a joy and a privilege to serve as an Elder in the Savannah Central Congregation. With smiles we remember his days of playing baseball, bowling and going to the skating rink with friends. With love he will greatly be remembered for his legacy of faithful service, as a loving husband, father and provider.
This memory will be cherished by his wife of fifty six years Florence; his daughter Valerie (Morris) Moore; three grandchildren, Morris William Moore, Marcus Wesley Moore, and Miranda Victoria Moore; and his extended family, son Anthony (Shurrander) Chisholm, all from Savannah; his loving nieces, nephews, and his faithful brothers and sisters.
Repast will be held at LBG Social Hall, 11 West Duffy St.
