He was born in Hickory, North Carolina, and moved to Savannah in 1981. He was employed by Gulfstream for 34 years, as a Senior Hydraulic Mechanic. He was a Lutheran.
He loved car racing, camping, fishing and his family.
He was a member of Solomon’s Lodge # 1, F. & A.M’s.
He loved the simple things in life, and he dedicated his life to taking care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Elmore Bean and Carolyn Locke Bean.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathy Kessel Bean, of Richmond Hill, GA; a daughter, Brittney Bean Aldridge (Derek) of Richmond Hill, GA; 1 granddaughter, Lena Aldridge, Richmond Hill, GA; mother in law, Joyce Kessel, of Savannah, GA, and his two little furry companions, Charlie and Patches..
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
