Ben Roland Doyle

He was born on October 15, 1922, in Morefield, Kentucky, a son of the late Ben Lee Doyle and Lucinda Mae Davis Doyle.

Ben served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by the United States Postal Service for 30 years. His lifetime hobby was raising racing pigeons. He also loved the beauty of nature and never met a stranger.

Left behind to treasure his memory are his wife of 70 years, Thelma Doyle; daughters; Chris Watson (Doug), Patricia Bosarge and Cindy Shultz (Bob); sons, Stephen Ben Doyle (Melody) and Richard Doyle(Terri); sister, Virginia Deckert; thirteen grandchildren (the babies) and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 7 until 8 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah. Interment will be private.
