Thomas Gerald Caswell

Best friend and soul mate to Sandy. Tom was a loving, patient and supportive father to Kevin Caswell. He was so proud of his special daughters and their families who were by his side during his long battle with cancer, Deanna and her husband Josh Plath and Stephanie and her husband Kenny Crandlemire. Tom was thankful he was able to reconnect with his daughter, Stephanie Millar, after over 20 years.

Tom was the proudest Papa to his grandsons, Axel and Cole Plath and Leo Crandlemire.

Tom had tremendous respect and love for his mother, Leslie Suriano, who was by his side on his final days. He was predeceased by his father Tom Caswell Sr. Tom was a fierce supporter of his siblings, Cindy Johnson (Brian), Jim Caswell and Rob Wilton. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Caswell. Tom was the adored son-in-law of Carol Bennett who he insisted share his home and Don Bennett from BC. Loved brother in law of Donnie Bennett (Patti Brandle) and Debbie Running (Lloyd). Special grandson of Lorraine Chauvin (Grandbird). Cherished nephew of David and Linda Walls. Tom will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

An unfathomable hole will be left in the lives of many friends and extended family, especially his ‘love you like family’ lifelong friends, Mark and Becky Aubrey.

Tom will also be missed by ‘the hound’ Dugless who is keeping his chair warm while he waits.

Tom was forever grateful to his healthcare team who were always a phone call away and immediately took care of every need to make this tough journey as comfortable as possible. Mike from Paramed who shared hunting and fishing stories and listened intently to Tom’s advice. Dr. Nicki Apostle, whose compassion and quick changes to ease Tom’s transition was so appreciated. Dr. Voutsadakis and the team at the SAH Cancer Clinic.

A private service will be held for immediate family as per Tom’s request. There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a later date when we can all be outside (his favourite place to be) to share memories and laughs.
