Uncle Terry
You my dear uncle have been a huge part of my whole life since we are only 5 years different in age.  I was always so proud of you the things you did   work, volunteer and family.  Family dinners we all chatted away and you and Stan shared all your jokes. Debbie couldn’t wait to call and request  a song while you were a DjYears of growing up included the yellow ski doo, camp playing kick the can  whatever we did you were there. As  your health failed you we had some cool sleep overs take out food and chatted a lot. Our phone calls were often  long but you were my coach for many things . I miss you so much  Terry but thankful for your love and kindness. I believe that you’re now healthy and that you can see everyone . I love you and am grateful for you  till we meet again. xoxo

I was very sorry to hear of Terry's passing. Living on opposite sides of the country we lost touch over the years however I still considered him a friend. We spent and misspent a great deal of time together from elementary school at FH Clergue through our High school years  at Sault Collegiate. I owe a debt of gratitude to the teachers that held Terry back in Grade 4 allowing me to meet him and grow our friendship. Wherever your spirit ends up Terry, I know you will be well thought of and continue to be involved and entertain. Peace my friend.

Jill: Our condolences on Terry's passing. I just happened to be watching a film of South Pacific this evening, and had happy memories of Saul Opera's production with Terry as able seaman Luther Billis. I was props mistress and my dad producer for the show. A quick internet search tonight revealed his passing two weeks ago. I remember (as a teenager) sharing the stage with him  in Pirates (Terry as Major General) and The Three Musketeers (Terry as one of the caped Musketeers). What fun times those were! Terry was such an addition to the SOS, guaranteeing lots of laughs from the audience for his comedic timing. Much sympathy and our best wishes,

When I was a board op in the late seventies, Terry was the first to approach me about trying my hand at doing my own radio show…I was thrilled to get the chance….he was always very supportive and encouraging…..his upbeat personality was contagious….I have been in radio to this day, and will never forget that moment, when someone thought that I could take on such a daunting task.

Jill and family, Terry left a life long impression on so many hearts. He knew my parents through Kiwanis's and community work. He occasionally played a song for my mom on the radio. She turns 90 this week and still remembers Terry so fondly.  Our legacy is not measured in years and months but rather relationships, kindness and friendships. We know his spirit will live on through the memories of so many. We send our thoughts and prayers.

My Condolences to the family. Terry and I go way back,we went to Francis H. Clergue together. Terrys mom was my second mother. I was always over at his house. We played sports together. He was my goalie on Elks Bantam and earlier teams. Terry was a great goalie and thought he could of went places if it was not for his knees. I am so glad just before Covid that Eric Harden and myself took him out for lunch and we enjoyed his company talking about the good old times. I could right a book on Terry and it would be a best seller. I will always remember his sense of humour and he well spoken not afraid to speak up. I guess his great voice and people person quality got him to the Radio and Tv opportunities. I better end by saying you will be deeply missed Terry.

I had the pleasure of working with Terry in the mid 80's for the Coca-Cola company----He was in the Sault Sainte Marie market and I worked the Sudbury Market ---These were the years of the Cola Wars and Terry had a great penchant for marketing and seemed to relish the activity the two Cola Giants were engaged in.
There were many regional meetings to discuss strategy and marketing .
Terry was a Jovial person and always  had an upbeat attitude---
A character one would always remember.

The Bogensberger/Corbett family are so saddened to hear of Terry's passing.  He was an inspiration to our boys Erich and Adam as he often reminded them of their father with his positive attitude, warm smile, and a laugh to share always. I recall listening to Terry during his time on local radio. I also played in athe orchestra  for the Musical Comedy Guild performance of "Little Abner", in which Terry was on stage.

Back in the 1990's I was in a production with Terry, of a British farce titled, "Run For Your Wife", at the newly renovated White Pines auditorium. Terry had a stage presence unlike anyone else and was a joy to perform with. I will never forget it.

Terry and I shared several uncommon and deeply held mutual interests. He easily bonded with radio station "on and off-air" staff during his time as a promising announcer . His (teenage) talent at the "mic"playing the "HITS" of the '70's, was an asset on which  CKCY  could  rely,  to reach  the 18-24 demographic !
I was proud to be a mentor during those early years .
 In later years we enjoyed mutual friendships as fellow Kiwanis Club members. 
In 2001, I too, shared a link with the Bonin Family.

Terry McPhee has now become the latest inductee to SKY STUDIO !His passing  is acknowledged  by all those in the  Sault Ste. Marie  Fraternity of Broadcasters , simply stating............
"another tube has darkened" !

Terry was a mentor to me early in my broadcast career,as well as a distant cousin of mine.He showed me patience when when I needed and also never took sides of a family member so that I could always learn.And I gave him lots of reasons to be patient while at CKCY.! Never will I forget his sign off,Come and get me momma your blue eyed,blonde haired bouncing baby boy is through.!

Terry was a special guy from the day I met him. Always a cheerful smile on his face no matter what obstacles he had to overcome.  We use to have lots of laughs when we travelled with the twirlettes and in high school and then later on whenever our paths crossed. He was an inspiration to many. Jill, he is smiling down on you now that he is free from suffering.
