RICHARDS, Melville (Mel) – Peacefully at the ARCH surrounded by loving family on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the age of 84. Dear father of Steve (Lorraine Barre), Bob (Nancy Cummings), Sue Lee (Rob), Laurie (Rob Pontus) and the late Mark (Cindy). Special friend of Ellie Swan. Grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 3 and uncle of 3. Brother of Elizabeth Lavallee (Phil) and Mary Richards-Parr (late Chic). Mel was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Band for 25 years. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 7-9 pm. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place.
