June 29th 1939 - June 4th 2022
After a valiant battle with cancer, Judy has been reunited with the late Sheriff Dave McDougall, the love of her life and devoted companion through eternity. She leaves behind her loving sons Steve Hilderley (Brenda), Scott Hilderley (Teresa) and her adoring daughter Tracey Hilderley (Steve Cardiff), as well as grandchildren, Kaela, Brock, Megan, Owen and Alexia, great grandchildren Lachlan and Desmond, and sister Pat Haines of Burlington.
She loved watching most any sporting event, retro game shows and finding humour in daily life, which served her well because she also loved cheering for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Whenever the Soo Greyhounds go on their next championship run, you can bet that she and Dave will have the best seats that heaven can offer, when they are not on the beaches of Florida or floating on the serene waters of Goulais Bay.
Cremation has taken place. To honour Judy’s wishes, there will be no service, but please take a moment out of your day to relive a happy memory. Heartfelt thanks and a debt of gratitude are owed to the staff of 3C at the Sault Area Hospital whose gentle kindness and skilled approach helped Judy to pass ever so peacefully.
Donations kindly directed to whatever makes you happy as long as you think fondly of Judy while you do it.
Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the McDougall family.
