BARTON, James Roy (Jim) – With utmost sadness and regret, Jim lost his battle to Pulmonary Fibrosis on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the age of 71. Beloved husband and best friend of Rose for 44 years. Loving father of Karen Spry (late Norm) and Ryan. Proud grandpa of his three granddaughters Carlee Spry, Kyra and Melia Barton. Son of the late Maurice and Marie Barton. Brother of Maxine Pollock (Bob), Carrie Blatter (Pete), and predeceased by Rose Nelson (Bob), and Marilyn Nelson (late Ralph). Son-in-law of the late Muriel and Frank LeClair. Brother-in-law of Dick, Betty (Albert), Joe, Patrick (Vicki), and the late Bill and Michael. Jim will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to Eric Barton who was always there for Jim. Jim’s love of family, fun, games, sports and especially music will live on in all the hearts of so many people whose lives he touched. In respecting Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life for a graveside service at “The Mountain” (Maple Grove) Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre. Donations to Matthew’s Memorial Hospital Auxillary or ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
