I have just now learned of Aaron’s death, he was a helper on a truck with me when he was in Grande Prairie AB… but he wasn’t just a helper, he was the best damn helper I ever had. It was rare to see him in a bad mood, he was proactive, prepared, hard working, and above all could make me laugh til I cried. Being up at 5am every day going to work 12hrs a day sucked, but he somehow made me look forward to it, he made the days that much more bearable. It hurts my heart knowing that no one will have a co-worker/ or friend like him again. He was… just awesome.



To me Aaron was a seeker. He sought beauty, truth, and wisdom. My first impression of him was vibrant, expressive, and enthusiastic. 
He brought an intensity to his interactions. He looked you in the eye, he paused for effect, he spoke with emphasis as if every sentence was a tattoo on your psyche, he was trying to leave an impression, he wanted you to take something with you from the exchange. He gave you his attentive presence, his deep listening and his thoughtful responses. 
He made me feel seen and heard to an extent that is rare. Knowing him was an incredible gift. He imbued life with a sense of meaning. He brought all of his senses tuned to the every day situations and spun magical renditions of the things he felt, saw, and experienced in his writing, his words spoken to friends and loved ones, and in his photography.
He captured his world--inner and outer and paid homage to his existence by celebrating and observing the moments unfolding. 
What I learned from Aaron is to keep my eyes open, keep looking, keep seeking, and keep speaking my truth. There is so much beauty and so much madness to alchemize back into magic.
I will keep his memory alive by going walks alone with him, in the ways we used to wander around town hunting for that perfect shot, searching for the captivating, the candid, the unexpected.
I will keep his memory alive by creating beauty and adding to the world and taking note of and documenting the world around me. 
I will find Aaron within a sense of adventure, a creative impulse, an appreciation of beauty, a curiosity and inclination towards novelties and in anything that is different and odd and therefore wonderful and enchanting. 
I will keep Aaron with me always. Nothing conjures Aaron like listening to Fever Ray. I dedicate IDK about you by Fever Ray to him. anyone who wants to share stories and photos or anything at all to do with Aaron please don't hesitate to reach out. You can reach me  at transfix66@gmail.com

I did not know Aaron, but I do know his older brother and all loved mean the world to their worlds. My condolences to his family and loved ones, many well wishes of strength and wellbeing from then and in the future. May Aaron's spirit have a good journey to the other side.

Aaron was awesome. He was my first friend at Sutherland. Right after training I sat beside him and he made the job so much easier. We had lots of good laughs and when there was time in between calls he started calling it “butter” to this day even working from home with Sutherland I still call it butter and I still give him credit for that. We had lots of talks about his kitty and how my kitty would be bestfriends with his at the time. I haven’t spoken to him in a while since getting rid of social media I wish I had. I miss his humour and contagious laugh! He was so bright and would always always get excited to see his twin in Sudbury. I’m so sorry for your loss and everyone’s loss. May god bless you all and that he is taken really good care of by the grace of the lord. Thank you Aaron for being such a good friend to me
